Carl Grubbs, internationally renowned saxophonist, and Barbara Harrell Grubbs, retired educator, founded Summer Activity Extraordinaire (SAX); Music and Dance Camp Program in 1997. The camp program is held on the campus of Loyola College in Maryland. The camp program provides music and dance training and appreciation to youth and children ages 5-17. The program accepts participants at all level of proficiency. SAX offers an intense two-week specialized arts program of individualized, small and large group instruction in selected areas of instrumental/vocal, music and dance. Participants receive instruction from Professional Artists.
